bowl measures 6" X 1 1/4"
There's a fun balance between little "cats eyes" on one side of this bowl and the intersection of lighter wood on the other.
This is one of about a dozen bowls left that came from an amazing mountain ash tree that grew in front of a historic downtown Sitka home. The owner of the home told me her grandfather planted the tree in the 1950s.
Because it's Mother's Day season, I'm thinking this might become a cute little jewelry bowl, but it would be ideal for all sort of smaller items.
What I really like about feature-rich bowls like this is that there's always something interesting to see when removing items from the bowl.
